The British Conservatives nickname “Tories” originated in Ireland mid 16th century. Derived from Gaelic “ toraidhe” which means plunderer, robber, thief, barbarian and yobbo.

I don’t think it was intentional, but it’s hilarious that Liberals have Conservatives somehow running against Mark Carney while Justin Trudeau is their leader. The old Progressive Conservative Party of Canada might’ve attracted the likes of Carney, but the Reform Party can’t.

Right now on our Covid unit, I am looking after multiple patients in their 40’s and 50’s, including a mother of a 2 year old and a husband/wife duo. Wave 3 is no joke. Stay safe Toronto

If one wonders why CON Premiers seem to be going out of their way to NOT get COVID under control look no further, here is your answer. Yes, the body count does not bother them, it never has, it is all about trying to blame the PM for the Premiers failures so they can gain power.
Another lockdown for us, but other countries are reopening. We are being let down by the Liberals.

And there it is. I am told Ministry of Labour has failed to provide requested documentation on ventilation in schools, while insisting that sars-2 transmission is via droplets (wrong). Teachers deprived safe workplaces because our leaders are doubling down on incorrect info.

They didn't support #PaidSickDays. They didn't support paid time off for vaccination. They didn't support essential workers...Now people are getting sick & are dying. What will it take for our governments to act swiftly & save lives?
Ontario urgently needs ICU RNs and other trained healthcare workers to staff the beds we have on paper. To avoid a triage situation @ongov & ⁦@fordnation⁩ need to work with other Premiers with oversight by ⁦@JustinTrudeau⁩ to reallocate healthcare workers ASAP.

This is a lie. Protesters did not storm Iowa’s Capitol...they had a permit, they went through security, the building is open to the public. Per Des Moines Register, the one arrest was of a high school student an officer claimed “pushed my arm in an attempt to gain my attention."

We need to acknowledge the courage of Peel's chief medical officer of health, Dr. Lawrence Loh, who broke ranks & led the way by unilaterally closing schools in his region.
Toronto Public Health to order all schools in the city to be closed to in-class learning effective tomorrow. Scheduled to reopen Monday April 19; schools were already to be closed next week for delayed spring break. cbc.ca/1.5976923

Peel Public Health declined to take 5,000 COVID-19 vaccines from the provincial supply for a shuttered Amazon warehouse in outbreak due to concerns vaccinating workers would not halt transmission within the facility. thestar.com/news/gta/2021/04…

130 cases in 2 schools in the Quebec City region and 600 people in isolation. Cheerleading practice. Part of the relaxations permitted by our leaders at the wrong time. No information on secondary cases or related workplace outbreaks for this one though. ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle…

It’s increasingly frustrating for me to see influential doctors that could make a difference continue to avoid this issue. They talk about being outdoors but they won’t say *why*. 440 cases. First casualty was only 40 years old. You know who you are. Your silence is complicity.

200 cases in a gym is an airborne superspreader event. No other mode of transmission explains it. People have said they never took their mask off and caught it anyway. That gym was a covid hotbox. And I’m sorry but that’s public health and ID’s fault, not Dan Marino’s.
