Alec Bohm of the Phillies was called safe. This was reviewed. And they still say he was safe. He didn’t even touch the plate. At all. Braves got cheated big time.

This was a typo but I think I just hit on a new term for a poorly executed #covid19 vaccine rollout.

Closing schools would be huge and disruptive for BC and I sincerely hope case #s drop. But have rules/behaviour changed enough? Has our testing surged to find/contain? Experts believe variants are now dominant and we have to change tactics. Some options: beta.ctvnews.ca/local/britis…

Cancel the #Canucks season. Please. The NHL expects them to play 19 games in 30 or so nights, after the team has been rocked by COVID, is disgraceful. Have some respect for the players and their health, before your league. #covidbc #covid19bc #nhl #bcpoli

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been aware of this since Thursday. Royal Columbian Hospital’s ICU also stressed and so are hospitals in northern BC. Health authorities have confirmed patients are being transferred to facilities with space. Sadly, more cancelled surgeries now expected.

The answer here is obvious: no.
The NHL is postponing the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs so we can get the fully scheduled 4-game dose of Ottawa vs. Vancouver. Is it really worth putting a group of athletes recovering from a respiratory illness through a unprecedented meat grinder for that?

This week @CarolineColijn pointed out how quickly the P1 variant is growing in B.C. Here's how many P1 cases we've had each Thursday going back to March 11, represented in popcorn kernels.

Shocking and hard to believe images taken from inside Walmart after a vehicle ploughed through the wall. Glad the drive is OK. @SaanichPolice @SaanichFire

On the one hand, there is some comfort in knowing I'm not the only reporter getting stonewalled by gov comms these days. On the other, it really does not speak well for the province's media communications efforts #COVID19BC #bcpoli
Thread: Here are some things I couldn't tell you about #COVID19 this week because I didn't get answers: 1. When different cases identified as COVID-19 VOCs first tested positive. 2. Total number of VOCs in each health region. 3. People immunized by Local Health Areas or HSDA.
